Room 9's Trip to the Stardome

Room 9’s Trip to the Stardome

On Thursday, the 9th of May, the Senior School went to the Stardome to learn about space travel.

We went to Stardome on a bus with Rooms 5 and 8.
When we got to Stardome the first thing we did was watch a movie on travel in outer space.

We had to look up at the big screen inside the Stardome. After that we  looked around for an hour. Then all the classes went to the planet room and the Educator talked to us about the Sun, the Moon and the Earth.

After a while, it was time for us to come back to school. We got onto the bus and came back to school. We all played games on the bus while we headed back to school.

Hi Jahsiah
I enjoyed your recount of your trip to Stardome. I wonder what the educator taught you about the sun, moon and earth. Did you learn anything new?

Yes
I did Learn alot about how the Sun’s surface temperature is around 5500 degrees Celsius (9941 degrees Fahrenheit), so pack plenty of sunscreen if you plan on visiting (remembering that the average distance from the Sun to the Earth is around 150 million kilometers).
